Have you plugged it in to try it or just sending it straight back?

Like Gav said, for a DVD head unit it wouldn't be cheap so you just wouldn't hack at the original loom!

see post above, cheap as chips. I'm not going to bother trying it as i don't want the crap in my car. Im not into stereos much but this really is shit

sorry to hear this mate, try and report him asap to ebay and open a dispute for that Item, also Im hopping you have paid by paypal, if so then dont worry you are sorted as paypal is more in the customers side than the sellers, they will ask you to send it back and they will refund you all the oney even if he doesnt want to .

open dispute in paypal asap, this is the best thing you can do right now to get your money back.

Sorry to hear of your hassle this close to Xmas. PayPal's protection is useless. They'll only give you money back if the trader in the dispute has money in his account - which he won't. I really, really hate using PayPal now - why give them their massive percentage when they provide no protection and very little customer support.

I was ripped off for a Yamaha sampler last year (£800) and PayPal did absolutely nothing. You can claim back from your credit card company though. I did that and got a full refund (big thumbs up to Halifax). Would you believe PayPal then gave me a stroppy email for going "behind their backs", even though I followed their dispute instructions to the letter.

Anyway - good luck - best bet is definitely just to get the money back from your credit card (initiate a "charge back").
