paul ashton
if it is a manual I'd be tempted to remove the fuse and then save up for rltc, it really is worth every penny imho - saves on rear tyre wear too Good thinking,i've got 285 rears that stood me at 410.Had them on for about 6000miles and now they're ready for changing again. The Restorer
bump. I'm getting this too. Uk auto, traction control is working fine (I know because I've got a new set of tyres waiting to be put on once the old ones are properly worn) but the TC button isn't working. Checked it was connected properly today by pulling the dash forward and it must have registered something because when I put the car in D after that it lurched forward. But no... however I push that button, car in park D, footbrake on/off, before starting the car it won't disable the TC. I'm certain it worked when I bought the car though! Glosphil
Mine works, green light sometimes stays on, I just flick the switch, when its off, have orange light on. Its crap anyway though. RLTC is in order after my single tubby me thinks
VIL
My understanding is the traction control cuts in and keeps the power off when it detects excessive loss of traction. If you lose traction briefly the unit will kick in but resume normal power once you get back some grip. If you boot it and the wheels spin like a top then it goes into `snow mode` and drops the power to that of a 'Lada Riva' until the TC is re-set ;0)

OK... so a couple of days ago I found a nasty speed breaker, that when wet allowed me to spin the wheels (like a rolling road) and hence test the TC. So, the TC would kick in as expected, but when I flicked the switch, the TC would turn off and let the wheels spin nice and freely. Hence, it was turning off, just the lights weren't showing up. Today, flicked the TC switch and knocked the dash a couple of times and the light was coming on. Just took the top bit of the dash, checked everything and noticed one set of wires had been trapped somewhere and pinched. Cleared that, wrapped some insulating tape around it and re-assembled the cluster before putting everything back together. It's all working now and I guess I have been fairly lucky as the diff oil, engine oil and engine warning light were in the same cluster as well. Don't know how long the whole thing has been out.
