Need4Speed
I've come to the point where my 17" 3 piece split rims need a rebuild, so here's the option. My rears need at least a 275 (pretty obsolete size) tyre and there's no real choice available. Do I rebuild and risk having a rim that I can't get tyres for or do I go for a new set of 18s. The rear tyres have about 2000 miles left so it makes sense to buy new rims now if ever. If I have a budget of £1500 for 4 rims can I get anything decent. Ideally I'm looking for a 5 spoke 1 piece rim, although I could force myself to go for something like a Blitz Z1 if I can get a decent price. Where should I look and who should I speak to. SimonB
How about the Lexus wheels there is a group buy shaping up on in the for sale section? Correct offset, lightweight and no loading on your insurance.
Need4Speed
Are we talking GS300 rims?

Need4Speed
I reckon for the price of those Lexus rims, I won't be rebuilding my 3 piece rims. Thanks for the link. One question, I thought the GS300 had calipers like the J-spec Supe, not the big four-pots of the UK one. Will they def. clear a UK caliper? Syed Shah
They will definately clear Uk brakes.
Paul Laing
How about the 18s Envy had for sale? If i remember they were 1500 for Racing Harts, have a look in there Spring Sale section mate. If not the Lexus wheels are very good for the price

Kitt
I can't remember exactly where I bought my wheels from now (somewhere on the Internet) but try 19inch Rial "Le-Mans" 6 spoke alloys with 235/35/19's on the front and 265/35/19's on the rear - a year ago I paid under £1,500 for the lot including tyres.
