Wez
Hey All, Anyone know where I might be able to get an Elise or Exige without the engine?
JamesG
Let me guess. You have a Honda Civic Type R engine or an Audi lump in your possession?
Wez
Nope, sadly, although those would be good options too I have a tomcat engine running 220hp from my old car.

imi
I have a tomcat engine running 220hp from my old car. WOW - 220bhp in a lightweight chassis... what are the specs of the engine?
Wez
2Ltr turbo running about 1 bar boost, they were 200hp standard, just upped the boost and made sure fueling was ok. I have the engine, gearbox, ECU and loom sitting around doing nothing.
JamesG
Sounds awesome if it fits! My Elise had a nasty misfire and it was undriveable last week, but now I've replaced the distributor cap, rotor arm, plugs and leads it feels fantastic. So today I strapped a video camera to the passenger seat and went for a blast! I'm going to upload it to youtube in a bit

Bobbeh
My m8 has a type-r engine in his S1 140 model.. says it does 0-100 in 9.5 secs now! On a side - I saw an Elise going autocrossing today on motors, made me chuckle
Wez
This could be another option for my spare engine http://www.gtmcars.com/libra.php

Chris Wilson
If you ask on the forums at http://www.bookatrack.co.uk you may find someone with one, or who knows of one. If Mountune ever get the damned thing to run reliably the Russell Savory V8 would be nice in the back of one: http://www.rst-v8.com There's one in the back of the sister car to my Zeus with the Formual Atalntic Toyota in it, pics at ftp://ftp.chriswilson.tv/Zeus_V8
