Nick_TC
Did all the laws finally get changed?? Just you still hear of people importing MKIV TT's for instance (which there is no report available) How are people doing it?? Is it because it was already booked to come over or something?? toyotasuprauk
Its only the cars without model reports manufactured after 1998 that are effected. All the imports you've seen coming in are pre 98 cars.
Nick_TC
Oh I see.......I thought it was anything younger than 10 years old that needed a model report
toyotasuprauk
Almost, anything younger than 10 years old needs an SVA.

TRD3000GT
Something to do with donating cars for model reports.
Suprash
So would this mean that post 97 cars might hold a slighlty better value, or are we all doomed for the bargain bucket......... Now that Jake isnt policing this rule we can talk about it......
Paul Whiffin
As far as I'm aware the 97 on Supra's wont pass the emission tests to get through a model report....R34 is in the pipeline though.

Paul Whiffin
Indeedy, I've heard of companies adding extra cats and still not being able to pass. The problem is if you need to add cats to it and mess around with the ECU to get the emissions correct to get a model report in the first place you then need to do the same mods every time you SVA a car so its exactly as it was for the model report. Adds a bit of cost and messing around that!
Suprash
Why is the emissions so dificult now, have they made them tighter for the model report ???? I have heard of TT's sometimes being able to pass MOT/SVA on one cat sometimes........
Gaz Walker
Originally posted by dude Apart from Gaz who says that R34 GTR's can still be imported !!! Dude:flame Dev They can, see Chris's post. The R34 report is due out soon Gaz.
Paul Whiffin
97on cars have to meet a stricter emission test, before there was a loophole for SVA so they were exempt from this.

DaveRex
http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/...55&page=1&pp=20 from reading this it seems that any car is now going to have problems getting through the SVA if it has any modifications at all
toyotasuprauk
Take a look at http://www.modelreports.com for a better idea.
