Clarkey
Hello, Appologies if has been asked before - did a search but couldn't see it. I'm thinking of buying a Blitz DUAL SBC TYPE S boost-controller for my newly purcahsed J-Spec Supra RZ. The only mod's I've done so far is a Blitz Turbo Timer & a HKS SSQ BOV. I've never had a boost-controler, is there any danger in the TT's melting because of over-boosting ? Or can the J-spec TT's handle alittle extra ? What's everyone's experience with the Blitz BC ? Many thanks, C.
JohnK
1.2 bar boost MAX. Not recomended until after you remove the cats and get a decent exhaust. May get away with just removing both cats, without doing that EGT's will be sky high and you will do dammage.
Need4Speed
This boost controller was one of the best bits of kit I've bought. 20,000+ miles, no problems and a boost guage with tell-tale built in. Dont take out both cats, just the front one. That way you can still turn it down when it's raining.
CJ
I have removed both cats and have fitted an SBC ID3. It has four channels on it which allows me to run standard (no increase over normal) and 3 incremental increases in boost up to 1.3bar. Cracking bit of kit
