What IS the point? It's a toy - the same toy it'll be next month, when they are cheap and plentiful...

Ahhhhhh where's your sense of adventure. :D

Looking forward to seeing how long the flow of games lasts for. It seems amazing so far, a real change in the way you play games..... but how many third party developers will bother porting over their games? :conf:

Yup, wait for the rush to die, get one in January, that is what we are doing, so we don't have it for christmas day to show off to all and sundry, but hey WHO really cares...

Each to their own, some people just cant wait to get there hands on new toys! especially when they are revealed like a year ago, its been a long wait for some!

Well Ubi soft have produced one of the best games avliable for launch - Red Steel.

To be honest, its not about porting games accross, we want new original games that are designed to take advantage of the Wiis amazing control methods. If you want the same old stuff just looking better then thats the other 2, fankly its rather pittyfull of sony just to merely enhance the graphics yet the input device is pretty much the same thing released like 10 years ago on the original playstation. how are the way games going to progress if everythings in lush 3D but your using a bloomin d-pad to move around, you loose the potential for a great game

I read there's already 600,000 units sold worldwide.

There's a market, so there'll be games.

yeah its nuts how many are moving. hopefully the games will be there to support the control method in the future, but i cant see why not. The DS is out selling the PSP beyond belief and the differance between those two and the consoles are pretty much the same (the focus on control and playability not just graphics and power)

In Asda last night, saw all these people sat on the floor reading books and playing PSP.

Thought to myself....erm, ok, weird.

Then realised they were all waiting for a wii. :search:

In asda! mad!

Know what you mean - not even basic improvements in some ways - the playstion analogue sticks are as bad as when they first copied it from nintendo. Playstation 3 controllers have motion sensing though don't they?

I would have at least thought that they would have placed the analogue stick in the prime position and given it proper directional rests (i.e so it can be can be pressed into the 8 true directions easily i.e left, right, up down, lef down, up left etc). Disappointing because there will be some many amazing looking games on the PS3, just crap control

no not motion sensor, they went back to drawing board after seeing the wii remote and lobbed in a tilt sensor of the sorts, it knows if the controller is tilted to the left or right but no motion sensor.
