I belive the real ratteling from mine is the lightened flywheel. Don't mind it when driving but if i've parked up with the engine on and in netural it's a bit embarrasing as it sounds like it's broken :D

 

The flywheel itself doesn't rattle. It's a solid lump of metal. It's the springs in the friction plate that rattle.

I was told that it's the "idle arm" in the gearbox that rattles because the engine vibration's are transmitted directly to the gearbox rather than damped by the dual mass of the stock flywheel.
