aneima6
well i really don't want to keep the stock twins, either a big single or the hks dual(haven't heard or know much about this though) anything you need to know to help me choose? Syed Shah
The biggest, and best is the HKS type-R. It is good for 860bhp at least!!!
Guest Ash
Fit the biggest intercooler you can get. The one I recommend to fit is the large HKS one. Yours, J
Alex
I believe the GReddy/Trust race intercooler is the largest as the HKS one is 600x300x93mm The Trust/Greddy is 600x294x149mm Call Norris Designs on 01249 712024. They import Jun and Trust/GReddy.
Guest Ash
I think you will find the thickness of the intercooler you mention will raise fitment concerns. Yours, J
Paul Booth
Which brings us nicely back round to getting a table of comparisons on FMICs.
Guest Martin F
Right just come across these specs :- HKS S Type 600x301x65 HKS R Type 600x302x97 There also appears to be a GT type which is available in various sizes.
Alex
I would use a Type-S to keep your lag low on a sub 600hp system. Above 550-600hp you need the Type-R and will have to live with the extra lag. At the end of the day all the big main intercoolers from Blitz HKS and GReddy are pretty damn good. Stupidly as they are all pretty much the same size the real criteria will end u being price, ease of installation and looks - that's probably the only way you'll differenciate the lot!
