mrboost
Need two spanky UK SPEC front discs. Anybody got any recomendations for drilled and grooved replacement discs. Have not got mega bucks to spend but do need changing ASAP. Boost
carl0s
I thought drilled discs were bad? They offer weight saving but less surface area for heat dissipation, right?
mawby
The holes allow gas generated by brakeing to escape instead of being trapped under the pad and lifting if off of the disc (brake fade?) and the grooves do the same and also scrap against the pad to prevent them becoming glazed. I have grooved/drilled discs all round... I love um! Only problem come when I drive my girlfriends MR2 around, takes a while to get used to having to press the brake pedal if you want to stop, rather than just resting your foot on it! carl0s
but I thought todays pads don't give off such gases... ? They do look the dogs though
