Stolen Gas metre...... Why?

I work for British Gas and it happens all the time. It's basicly fraud they steal one from another house, then use it and when there meter read is due they connect the other back up say a week earlier. Hey presto cheap bills.

However there is also a meter that runs before the property and the moment they get above the acceptable level of missing gas an insector will be arranged.

Also Transco can remove meters without the consent of the owner if it is empty for too long, also a supplier can ask for it to be removed to save the compnay on standing charges.

I didn't pay any gas for over a year, as my gas meter was broken. I spoke to British gas several times and let them know about it and they kept on saying they came out to change it but couldn't get access to the house. At which point i told them the meter is "outside". They apologised and accepted their error :-)

I had gas installed to a house a few months back. Got a bill in October for £190 for two months use.

OMFG! I'm paying like 15 pounds/month for gas! And i have gas cooker and gas heating  What the hell those guys from whatever company you are with thinking you use gas for?
