Ric
I have my recently bargin purchased sideskirts for sale. Basically i will start with the story of why i am selling. They are originals and are made of Plastic (Urethane is it?) I purchased these from supraiscool last month for a bargin £30 lol. Basically ive taken them to my bodyshop who quoted me on the work which needed doing which was: Painting in 199 (Silver) Repairing cracks which supraiscool did not manage to do 100% Plastic weld the cracks so they would not reapear I was charged £190 for this which i was happy with as he would have them back if they ever crack again. The skirts caught along parts of the door when closing which prompted me to take the sides back to the painter and he would rectify them. I got a phone call 2day basically saying he dosent want to get involved and the repair CAN be done easily but wanted to charge me more, which i simply cannot afford atm with christmas ETC so i decided to bite the bullet and take the car off him as his imcompetance is worrying. So basically these sides are for sale to anybody who would like to undertake this (easy) repair apparently. The paintwork is good, but obviously some parts will need to be reprayed after repair. I would like the £30 back i paid for them and some of the cost i lost to the painter £140 of £190 thats a total of £170 please. I would be willing to hand deliver myself as so they are not damaged UPTO 80miles radius of sheffield otherwise i would like you to collect please. Postage could be sorted at buyers exspense but i would be really reluctant due to other threads around atm. A guide to the pictures: Picture 1 - As they are on the car fit is good. Picture 2 - Passenger side again, fit is good. Picture 3 - Crack which has reappeared, there are 4 of these 2 each skirt. (apparntly fibreglass expands when baked hence the crack, if left to dry naturally it wouldnt crack here after repair) Picture 4 - Rubbing on doors, simler both sides. Picture 5 - Damaged caused my painter 2day should be easisly fixed. Sorry for the long thread but ive tried to be as honest and detailed as possible thanks.
