If your that bothered about not getting it chipped etc, don't drive it! These seem pretty common in the US very disturbing.
jamesmark
There was one at JAE with it on, and sorry to the person it belongs to but it looked utterly stupid. Can see the point of them but woudl rather have stone chips.

Kopite
AFAIK it's mainly for when people go on tracks and there's more risk of loose debris being kicked up by other cars etc
Andy Supra
AFAIK it's mainly for when people go on tracks and there's more risk of loose debris being kicked up by other cars etc ^^^^ Yep! Thats the main reason for them. Friends got one for his Black Golf R32 but keeps it on all the time and it ruins the look.

Rayman
Is it just me that finds the supra pretty damn good at not attracting stone chips, considering its so low i thought it would be worse, think the toyota paint is pretty hard as mine doesnt seem to pick up many, maybe i need to drive it harder? Gazboy
here it is I'm sorry to ever owns it, but that's a damn fine way of utterly ruining a damn good picture.
Pot
Somehow the front edge of my bumper's enjoyed many chips, I'd consider one, simply as I live in Cheltenham, work in Bristol, and show off in Brum, so I'm getting most of my chips up and down the M5, where I'm not too fussed about impressing truckers and caravanners... I'd certainly make sure it was taken off for when I was showing off though!...

Guest gzaerojon
i can see the point of them, but having said that i've got stone chips on the bonnet, so what then?? you could always have the car coated in a substance they call paint i reckon secretly they just satisfy some peverted supra owners who like to dress there car up in kinky black lingerie while lubing themselves in Motul Gear
