Chris Wilson
I only want Motors TV, the rest of the Sky dish basic package holds no interest. I am out in the sticks, so no cable, only a dish, but I have a 1.8 meter one i could use! Is there any other option to get Motors TV other than a Sky basic package subscription? Even if it was in a foreign language it would do. Thanks.
Graham S
Motors TV? for the late night ladies??? lol, sorry!
SteveR
Do you know if it is a freesat channel Chris? If so, I think you can buy a box that wil pick up the free chanels (or a regular box with a 'freesat channels only' card) and then it's just the (very tricky, bu do-able) matter of aiming the dish... garetheves
Im probably wrong but i think freeview has M&M. Otherwise i cant think of another 100% legit way of doing it, having said that you could, if you were that way inclind, buy an old Sky digi box and point your own satelite in the correct direction to pick up the signal. Im sure that would work.
Chris Wilson
It's subscription only on the Sky satellite, was wondering if any other sats have a none encrytpted feed?
SteveR
It's subscription only on the Sky satellite, was wondering if any other sats have a none encrytpted feed? Ah right. No idea I'm afriad, sorry - aiming dishes I can help with, but exactly what is coming from each sat I don't have a clue, lol! I know sky do pick & mix subscriptions but it's probably overkill for just 1 channel, and obviously getting it for free would suit you better. garetheves - I don't think M&M is free on freeview any more - even if(?) that is the same as Motors TV? JustGav
I think the problem is... Men and motors is encrypted, because it is a pay for channel, HOWEVER it is bundled and as such part of a package and sky think they know best for us. http://www.dreamboxshop.co.uk/?gclid=CMD6vdWV_IgCFSX7ZgodBSaLtw Something like that MAY be able to pick it up, but it is whether you can get the CAM access for just men and motors or not... How random... You are welcome to visit us at our convenient location in Camberley Surrey being only 26 minutes from London Heathrow Airport. Yes... very "convienient" for me, being just a disturbingly accurate 26 minutes from Heathrow, which incidentally is only 2~3 hours from here depending on traffic. lol

Linux based? Interesting. I can see some research coming on.
Chris Wilson
It's not Men and Motors, it's Motors TV I want, a totally different (and more mature and less seedy ) channel http://motorstv.com
JustGav
You should be able to pick that up with something like an Astra sat receiver... http://www.lyngsat-address.com/ln/Motors-TV.html

Short answer is Yes, but it means a new box in at the TV, loaded with the appropriate software and a broadband connection no Cam needed btw Men & Motors is FTV on Astra
