RedM
Do you really hate someone? Want to see their nerves get shot to pieces? Want them to be awake at night worrying about what will happen next? Do you want them to be forever spending money at the expense of actually enjoying anything, EVER? What is this present? It's a Supra Twin Turbo. I'd rather find a bucket of shite on my drive than one of these. Hateful, f-ing things.

Charlotte
All mine have been fabulous. 5+ years of trouble free Supra ownership. OMG don't say that. I said I'd never broken any bones the night before falling down the stairs and breaking my ankle. Hmmm. Fate tempting much? Anyway, I think the owner is normally at fault. TLicense
Supercar performance. 12 year old Supercar maintenace costs. Just work through each issue methodically and use a garage that really knows what they're doing when it comes to Supra's (not billie bobs down the road that once changed the tyres on a XR2i so think they know about performance cars) and it'll soon be running pucka. RobSheffield
Get these niggles sorted though and it will all be ok again - forgive them anything when they run well! Its an hour since i read the autobox issue thread, what is the current verdict?
RedM
Get these niggles sorted though and it will all be ok again - forgive them anything when they run well! Its an hour since i read the autobox issue thread, what is the current verdict? Rob, I'll end with the sweetest running Supra eventually. It'll just look like shit by then. Autobox issues are looking like there might be a boost leak to rule out before assuming the worst. I've even tried to throw people off by explaining things differently and then hitting with a curveball and they either stick with a boost leak or change their opinions. It'll be interesting to see how the 'losing' side feel when the decision comes.
RobSheffield
Have you done anything to it engine bay wise recently, or has it just been the exhaust? I have been fortunate in that i have never had a boost leak - i wouldnt fancy rooting all over looking for split hoses! Having just stripped a Sequential system down, i can confirm there are hundreds of pipes that COULD be losing you pressure. Is there a way perhaps we can isolate the autobox out of the equation? for example, lock it in a gear or something so that IF it is a problem in the TC, then it wont be so apparent. That way, you could isolate it to being a boost leak or not. Failing that, Ask Andy H to have a good root around the hoses?
RedM
Only swapped the exhaust. Rest of the car is still bog standard except a CW SMIC. I've locked it in gear and accelerated hard and the second turbo comes on just about when you expect. TBH it's maybe a little late but with one on the road and one on the revs it's hard to say. Of course, locking it in gear stops the kickdown problem anyway! As much as I'd like Andy to have a look at it he is too far to go and to leave it for any amount of time. So, my regular mechanic (up the road) is having it overnight and for a whole day. He's going to hook up a boost gauge and drive me home in it to get a feel for what I'm on about. I have oil mist on some pipes and the Toyota pipes tend to go brittle especially under the clips. Fingers crossed.
RobSheffield
When was the SMIC fitted? Sounds sensible to have the chappy look at it for an extended time
