cowboy bebop
That is a very mean looker. You're going to terrorise the neighbourhood in that, especially with those airhorns. Well done indeed Eric Now for goodness sake stop messing about with it and finish my engine!! Thannks Ed! We should be ready to go this week. The last of the accessories are being refinished and installed. Eric

cowboy bebop
The calling card is finally in. We're serializing two "playing cards" and sending them with each built motor. One for where the stock Toyota emblem goes on the trunk and one for wherever the owner chooses.

Gaz Walker
That is seriously impressive. The only thing that I'm not a fan of is the front bumper, its a bit too open as others have said. What a monster though Air horns rock
cowboy bebop
It is a bit devisive, but that's to be expected. My neighbor is a photographer for piaa and hella, and he was in awe of how it turned out. The paint is like glass and as close to flawless as I've seen on any Supra. It's almost above me Eric
Axle
Does nobody on here fancy going for the V8-TT instead of the single route. That's somthing i am seriously considering myself actually. Ive been down the V12 install route on one of my other vehicles. So i am keeping a very keen eye on this and the Dyno sheets when its made available. I would like a proper breakdown of costs though, including install and complete setup etc. Great work guys. Those deep dish are mean. Whats the offset? cowboy bebop
Let's see... -7 offset, 18x11fr, 18x13 rear Darin is coming over tomorrow to help get the car on the street for break in. We're going to run around the block a few times and care the kids. Eric
Ian C
You didn't answer my question about the top rad hose
cowboy bebop
Hi Ian, The hose is close but it's handling the heat well so far. The steel tubing goes far into each silicon end to give it some rigidity. The area directly over the coated piping is the steel portion of the radiator hose, so that's good news there. It'll be one of those things we'll have to keep an eye on. Thanks! Eric
cowboy bebop
Some first impressions bearing in mind that I'm not in the boost and not revving past 4K right now. One word.... torque. Just with a trip around the block, there's already a noticable difference. I have a Sp400 (3 speed GM trans, with a 3400 converter), and when in first gear the converter flashes, but when the throttle is stabbed in second gear at 1500rpm, the car lunges forward hard. It's totally different from a 2jz. This motor is torquey. Eric
paul mac
when in first gear the converter flashes Eric pardon my ignorance Eric but as an auto driver with a high stall i dont know what this means

tDR
I'm guessing it means the TC slips? And the extra torque means you get more drive - lunges forward?
Bobbeh
Eric, it looks utterly stunning, and black was deffo the right choice!!!! Glad to hear you're having fun with it after all this time! /me so envious
cowboy bebop
I'm guessing it means the TC slips? And the extra torque means you get more drive - lunges forward? Bingo. It's a relatively low 3400 stall, so as the throttle pressed in first gear, the converter jumps to the stall. In second gear, it doesn't flash so fast, the converter "hooks", and the car lunges forward. It's a crazy feeling coming from a Supra Torque down low? Yes Eric
