cowboy bebop
Thanks gents, the 5.4L stroker in the pics is tip top. We stayed away from the 4 bolt main conversion since it drills into some very thin material, and a gent in the AU has already cracked a main cap clean out of his block. Instead we chose to strap the mains each with a hardened length of 4140. This stuff does not bend so if the main comes out, it's coming out all at once. The heads are heavily ported and are fitted with 36mm intake, 30mm exhaust valves The cams are a massive [email protected] duration and .406 lift. It's aggressive enough to warrant the use of chromemoly buckets coated with diamond like carbon. The valve springs are a custom dual spring made to 90lbs seat/180lb nose pressure. Finally the stroker kit is a custom piece with the cranks being produced [not from 4340 but] from hardend 9310. Those who know they're materials know that this is one tough crank. Thanks! Gazboy
Is there much of a cost difference for a stroker?
cowboy bebop
Is there much of a cost difference for a stroker? Ballpark ~3000gbp more for the stroker kit. We can go from 4.7L all the way to 5.65L if desired. Not only is the displacement raised signifigantly higher but the internals are tough as a coffin nail. What big turbo? Want a massive shot of nitrous? It's covered. Thanks! Eric
EdMorris
We're also currently building a high compression 2uzfe for a UK member. I'll let him decide whether to make his build public or not. Looking for great NA HP out of that motor as well.
