cowboy bebop
For all that have asked, here's a quick rev up. The car was backed out and the video taken so folks can hear the exhaust note. There's no mistaking this for the 2jz, no way in hell. It sounds outstanding, and revs up quickly and smoothly.
EdMorris
Again that sounds like music to my ears. Very satisfying exhaust note. Great job
Guest dangerousandy
OMFG - that has to be the best looking and best sounding motor EVER!
paul mac
absolutely stunning Eric and well worth the wait keep the posts coming about the progress and i would love to see/here some drive by vids
cowboy bebop
Thanks very much, gents. It all very appreciated. There's no better feeling that hitting the start button, and hearing this thing fire off. It's competely different than a 2jz in that it sounds all grown up. The motor sounds aggressive and ready to work. Thanks again! Eric
Jspec Germany
That looks and sounds great Eric. Your hard work has really paid off. I'm headed back to the states in two weeks. Time to return after living overseas for 8 years. I may have to make a detour somewhere in my travels across the country to visit and see this beast in the flesh. Guest CoolsBlue
sorry...but that supra just looks stupid.
cowboy bebop
Not as stupid as this I suppose: That's what it looked like before. Keep in mind that the side skirts aren't on it in the pics. Eric Edited September 26, 2008 by cowboy bebop (see edit history)
Guest CoolsBlue
not quite, along the same lines i guess:D just kidding, its come along way, well done for that, but imo it looks pants. ahhh edit, just read the bit about the skirts, awaits pics, thought it looked a bit odd:D Edited September 26, 2008 by CoolsBlue (see edit history)
cowboy bebop
Yeah man, no sideskirts in the pics. I don't have big ole' truck flares on it Eric
Guigsy
is that a modified bomex bumper? the intercooler makes it look odd. a bit too busy with all the pipework.
supra dan
:cool:i love it, will be fantastic when its finished
Thorin
Front bumper looks a bit odd, but I suppose it's necessary. I'm loving it though. You need to get a proper photoshoot done once it's finished, I need a new background picture
Scott
not quite, along the same lines i guess:D just kidding, its come along way, well done for that, but imo it looks pants. ahhh edit, just read the bit about the skirts, awaits pics, thought it looked a bit odd:D OMG are you blind? lol. That car is absolutely stunning. I suppose you thought the wing was meant to be missing too? The only gripe i have is with the front bumper. I don't think its too busy, i think its too empty. There is a big massive unused gap at either side (next to the IC pipework). Of course thats me being as picky as i possibly can be as i think its the most amazing supra i have ever seen. In fact, i'd go as far as to say its one of the most amazing cars i have ever seen period.

cowboy bebop
We'll probably mesh it off before it's over, but hte main goal now is to get it finished enough to leave the body shop and back in my posession Eric
GoliathJay
Not like the TRD rear? I love the car, just think the flares may look outta place. Although I will reserve judgment till its completed.
cowboy bebop
It's Blitz sides that have been cut down, they look more like TRD sides than anything. The bumper is a stock bumper with small flush ABS moldings towards the bottom to meet the flares. Eric
