Ian C Posted December 3, 2006 Share Posted December 3, 2006 The whole point of getting an underdrive pulley is to specifically slow down the accessories, and thus 'save power', i.e. less parasitic drag on the engine I had one once, noticed no great difference, got scared of my crank snapping, went back to the stocker, noticed no great difference except I could sleep at night again -Ian Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The rest of the pulleys are normal size.Yeah but the crank pulley drives the belt so a smaller pulley makes everything that is driven by the belt run slower. The whole point of getting an underdrive pulley is to specifically slow down the accessories, and thus 'save power', i.e. less parasitic drag on the engine I know, but still - sod that!
