Tricky-Ricky
Question for all Tein suspension owners, been thinking of changing to maybe a flex setup, but the spring rates seem a bit hard to me, anyone used lower rate springs and does the valving accommodate this? are they a std size ie 2 1/4, so available from demon tweeks /Rally design or are they an odd ones like a lot of current aftermarket setups, i want the adjustabuilty of ride hight without having to pre loading springs, and also tailor them for a more compliant ride, oh and who does the best prices;)
DamanC
I have no idea on the techie questions but setting the flex's to their softest setting isnt as bad as you would think. Most peeps comment on how soft a ride it is. The ride harshness was more noticeable when 'upgrading' to 18's. hth
Tricky-Ricky
Thanks for the input, it helps a little, i am surprised that you say its soft, given the spring rates, my main problem is the state of the roads around my area:( i also have 18" s to start with. Tricky-Ricky
More comments welcome:) And lets try this a slightly different way! Question for Taders, who does the best prices? and is it possible to supply them with different spring rates, and top mounts??
DamanC
Perhaps soft wasnt the best word, more like smooth
Steve Sherwood
I use Tein Flex on my car it gives a much smoother ride than you would think. The roads in my area are very rough, I have 245/35/18 on the front and 295/30/18 on rear and it copes very well even at high speed.
