imi
My supra gives me 19-21mpg in the City of london and 27+ on the motorway - I think that is extremely impressive for a BPU - 3Ltr TT. My cousin just sold his BMW 645 cause it was giving him 7mpg in the city of london and 16mpg on the motorway What about other sports / performance cars>>>
Rayman
My cousin just sold his BMW 645 cause it was giving him 7mpg in the city of london and 16mpg on the motorway Wow that sounds obscene! I also find the supra not too bad at all on fuel! totally depends on your right foot tho!
yellow man
norwich to gilford some 140 miles 6 speed manual £35 24 laps 1.9per lap of snetterton race circuit whole tank £55-60:(
Feakins
Best I've got is 380 miles off my TT to a full tank. With the town driving that I do now its around 280-300 to a tank and I think its bloody awesome! My old 106 GTI did about 300 miles to 45 pounds. So in costs me only an extra 15 quid everytime I fill up which is roughly every 2 weeks.
dangerous brain
16 mpg out of my range rover 4.6 hse

DaveK
I have no idea what mpg's are. As far as I can tell (only had it a few weeks, so not 100% sure yet), I seem to get about 220 miles around town on £50 unleaded for the Supra, and around 350 motorway miles. The 911 does 220 miles on £65 of super unleaded around town and about 380 motorway miles.
Matt _Aero top_
I get 200 to 220 on 50 sheets driving around town
Konrad
I have no idea what mpg's are. Miles per Gallon - I'm getting confused also, because i grown up on litres per 100 kilometers scale, but just started to use some converters to get slight idea how much fuel those cars burning Only problem is that most of converting sites to not explain if mile is british or american - seems those 2 are different... I thought the miles were the same, a standard measurement of distance, but that the gallons were different between US and UK. Mike
lambertpig
fuel economy is fine for supercar performance especially as my supra has been so reliable and has needed no repairs at all (only consumables). this fact offsets mpg considerably compared to less reliable cars needing expensive repairs. think i may get shot down by some of you guys that have had such repairs but that is my experience by the way for comparision my merc e55 amg did 25.7 on a 1200 mile tour of scotland worked it presicely from door to door. great consumption for a 5.4 litre super saloon cruising at 80-100 all day about the same as the supra i guess
RedM
I did 300 miles on 2/3 tank this weekend. I have no idea what mpg that is.
R Black
Also to add to this convo the UK tank is bigger than the jspec
dangerous brain
pretty good for one of them db I can get it to 21 mpg if I take an aero-tow from a truck Its bloody boring though.

imi
If you are worrying about the fuel economy of a Supe then perhaps you shouldn't have one!! Very true. hence I am not worried at all. Just intrigued to see how it compares to OTHER sports cars (NOT SUPRAS) of similar'ish performance / weight.....
penguin
If you are worrying about the fuel economy of a Supe then perhaps you shouldn't have one!! i hate it when people come up with that line ... so if fuel goes to say £1.50 a liter... or unknowingly your o2 sensor is fucked causing your soop to suck more fuel - your trying to tell me you wouldn’t be worried? some of the people on this forum have an elitist attitude which seems to get them nowhere.... - peg it down a notch guys and just chill

The Supe is a high performance car and will suck up the petrol, a box it aint and it's never going to return 50mpg. I am saying, IF THE CAR is running right and you are worried about fuel economy then perhaps you should get a box. Now wind you neck in about implying I am elitist, it aint funny

Rayman
Yeh you cant really enjoy a supra if your worried about the cost of the petrol it consumes, for myself i hate having a near empty tank as i just cant drive it proper. Watching my boost all the time! Its crap having an open road and not opening her up!

Its only end of discussion when i have the last word joke aside my response was generic and not aimed at anyone in particular- if you feel you fall into that catagory then do something about it end of discussion
