DaveK
I am tempted to try mine without - but I wonder what the insurance company would think. I know you can buy spoilerless Supra's - but since mine did have a spoiler from stock, I would technically be removing an item that (in theory) provides downforce to the rear of the car. I guess that they would probably consider it a cosmetic change though.
GT5500
One word- 'Marmite', either love it or hate it! personally I think they look awesome without the spoiler, very clean and fresh, some look like Astons and pistonbroke's red one looks a bit Ferrari 360 at the back end. Needless to say if I get the money together to get a soop the first bit of bodywork will be the removal of the spoiler. I don't think everyone will ever agree on what is best as looks are a personal thing.

I reckon the boot lid provides downforce anyway with the ridge at the back. The engineers of the Viper coupe did the same thing with it's boot lid. They designed a ridge at the back to aid downforce rather than bolt on a rear spoiler. The engineers found that the ridge on the boot lid and a rear bumper diffuser gave it 1/3 more downforce.
