mathew Posted December 1, 2006 Share Posted December 1, 2006 went to fit new rear speakers this afternoon and it hasnt gone excactly to plan:( the holes didnt line up so had to compromise. fixed the first one and tested it, it was fine. went to fit the second then tested it and...........nothing! no sound at all from any of the speakers.whats caused this? after that episode im not going near the head unit so got it booked into halfords for thursday to have it done. Just insulated the terminals and your laughing. when i did my rears, i found when i fitted them in, the chasis touched the terminals. didnt blow anything but stopped the sound maybe worth a look... mathew Posted December 1, 2006 Author Share Posted December 1, 2006 guys youve got it spot on! took them out and the sound is back in the front speakers:) il have a bash at insulating them tomoro. dave - i was hoping bowes would be there today to chuck the head unit in during his lunch break (thats if i got the panels off first). il see how the speakers go tomoro and if im confident try the headunit aswell.
