Rob
How do I get rid of the "doors open" beeping though?
AndrewOW
How do I get rid of the "doors open" beeping though? Take your keys out of the ignition maybe, or close the door while you're driving?
hogmaw
How do I get rid of the "doors open" beeping though? Mine stopped beeping of their own accord just a few days ago. I reckon a fuse must have gone somewhere. I don't miss it.
Rob
Take your keys out of the ignition maybe, or close the door while you're driving? Yeah, but what about when I'm hanging at the strip, banging my choons out in front of the golden arches.
Steve
Yeah, but what about when I'm hanging at the strip, banging my choons out in front of the golden arches. Disconnect it from the back of the ignition switch, its a plug which has 2 wires going onto it.
hiten55
when i first got my sup, i thought the bleep was a parking sensor or something and reversed into the back of the garage wall luckily i was going slow and i'd stuck a load of flat pack cardboard boxes in front of the wall a few days before so no damage still makes me laugh when i see the sup in there though
paul mac
after 7 years of listening to "beepy" i really dont notice its there, i think i would miss it if it were gone now
Dazzi
hmmm unplugged it today (the one in the picture) but it's still beeping!
justice
Thank you search button. I feel like my supe should be 20 times bigger when I hear that noise.
Abz
I love the amount people who are in the car and go, "Oh its got rear sensors and you can't even see them on the bumper, NICE!" Who am I to correct them.

Abz
Really, I just get 'why's your car beeping like a van'? I get that too from the more knowledgeable people who notice the beeps don't change tempo.
Josh
I didn't even know it happened. Never seen anything about it before..
Suprab1
Is there a pic of this thing to disconnect? I was trying to get my speedo dials out before & there was like a little grey cord thing attached to what looked like a stud but i was afraid to pull it too hard incase i broke it so i put it all back together. KamaSupra
I used to hate the beeping noise but now I never notice it. Kind of like when the girlfriend moans or tells you to do something, you just switch off to it after a while
adam1983
I’m trying to turn off the beep when the car goes into reverse but don’t know what I’m meant to remove. I have seen pictures from another thread but it looks different to mine. My car is a 1999 tiptronic. If somebody can highlight from my picture what I’m meant to remove it would help me out. Cheers
adam1983
I think I may have solved this with hopefully no adverse issues. I removed the black plug with the + sign next to it and now the beeping in reverse has disappeared.
Johnm400
I know its annoying but surely its better having that thing beeping than putting it in reverse at the lights by accident and then hitting the gas?
adam1983
I know its annoying but surely its better having that thing beeping than putting it in reverse at the lights by accident and then hitting the gas? That would take an extra special effort in an auto [emoji38].
