Im having problem setting up the home network wifi connection. Everything is fine until i have to enter my WEP key then i get lost. The WEP key is on the the bottom of my router but the key won't work on the N80 as it is too short. The key on my router is 13 digits long but thats too short for the 128bit WEP and too long for the 64bit WEP settings. Any ideas what to do?

You sure you have WEP key written on bottom of your router? 13 digits number on mine is serial number, not WEP. Heck, I do not have anything about WEP on any sticker around router

Edit: Found in help section of my 3COM router:

Key Generation Method:

ASCII — This method is supported by some adapter cards running under Windows XP. The string must be exactly 5 characters for 64 bit WEP and 13 characters for 128 bit WEP. You must enter a separate string for each of the 4 Keys. You can leave a string blank so long as this Key is not selected as the Active Transmit Key.

So 13 digits is proper for 128bit WEP

hi robert, that could well be the mac for the phone which you may need to add on the routers "safe" list before you can connect to it - oh and the wep key could be generated on the router config (most allow you to enter a word which is then represented in the chosen key bit which you assign on the device your trying to connect :) )
