Picked up my New Car Today - Not a Supra

Went and picked this up today. Been wanting one for a while now since I had an old '75 model a few years back. Didn't think I could manage a 50th Anniversary model though - well chuffed!

Head up display, active handling, lots of gauges with all sorts of buttons to play with!

AND on the 250 mile journey home it did over 33mpg - from 5.7 litres! Does 0 to 60 in about 4.4 secs too so no slouch.

Unfortunately the Supras will have to go up for sale in the spring to be able to pay for it now! What a car the Supra has been though. It was a real predicament to figure out what to go for as I've been in Supras for 5 1/2 years - usually I have had cars for about 6 months before boredom sets in, but I stuck with the Supras for longer than anything I've ever driven. But as alot of you know, I figured the time had come to move on. And (IMHO) what a thing to move on to!

What do you think?

(I'll be taking better pics in the daylight on Saturday)

:D :d :D

What a good looking beast. I hope to see it for real some day.

Oooh, yes, Phil. I'll still be about here - there are too many people here that I have come to know very well to be just disappearing into the sunset all of a sudden!

If you have no objection, I'll maybe bring it along to a meet sometime. (Angie will be in her Supe for while yet!)

Nice car -

BUT...!

Is it faster than a Supra, or what?!

It's got a V8...who cares how fast it goes!

0-60 it'll whip a BPU and I know that ultimate performance is not what Soop wants...cruising thru France will be a joy in it :)
