Babe
One of my sprog's dwarf hamsters seems to have gone a bit mental, he's running around like a complete loony-tune. He hurt his leg last week and the vet cost me £85 quid so don't fancy a return visit if they're gonna tell me that's what they do sometimes. They're only 3 months old and we've never had them before... apparently they've just reached sexual maturity, so guess that could be it... the other hamster is still quite sane though! Any ideas? Havard
I'm not a vet but in my professional opinion, you should put him in a big wheel and let him shag himself out!! Like I said I'm not a vet but that advice was free!!! H.

Steviekid
He hurt his leg last week and the vet cost me £85 quid Christ, I'm working in the wrong area! What the hell did they do to him?? I wouldn't worry about the behaviour as long as he seems happy enough and is eating/drinking ok, he'll calm done in a week or two.
Babe
he'll calm done in a week or two. I hope so, if I didn't know better I'd say he was on acid!
Havard
I hope so, if I didn't know better I'd say he was on acid! Being on acid is a big problem in Hamster society, especially in socially deprived cages!!. Sorry I can't help. Where abouts in Lancs are you. Anywhere near the pie eating capital of the world Babe? Robert
I think he is fine, had the samething with my old hamsters, he will settle down, they are naturally very active and i guess he doesn't want to put his feet up and relax.
NUTKIN
I had three hamsters all in separate cages next to each other the one in the middle was female the outer ones were male. the two males were going mental in their cages and one of them ate himself basically in a mental fit so i decided to put the two remaining hamsters in the same cage. the male was doing somersaults in the cage and going totally mental. this went on for several days and then calmed down. a few weeks later i went to the cage to find several babies. unfortuneately the female ate the babies because i had disturbed them and then the male killed the female. my question to you is are they both males or do you have the possibility of one of each?....hence the madness
hogmaw
??? could you imagine if that were humans? Probably normal behaviour in Norfolk (according to Alan Partridge)
Babe
my question to you is are they both males or do you have the possibility of one of each?....hence the madness They're definitely both boys, had them checked out about a month after we got them as Spike suddenly grew and Oz (the mental one) didn't... had thought maybe Spike was a Spikette but he's not. When we bought them the shop recommended we get two boys, but after a few fights and two trips to the vets the vet said they should be apart as two males never get on. Havard
Where's the pie capital? I'm near Ormskirk. How can you live in Ormskirk and not know that Wigan is the pie capital of the world?? Nice though Ormskirk, might move there when I'm a bit richer! H.
