mathew
right heres the scenario - im a developer and been asked to write up a site evalution report on an area in cardiff. i need to find info on the history of this particular area in Cardiff which would include things such as old minng shafts, old buildings on that particular patch and other general stuff along those lines. if i can find ordinance maps etc it would be even better. does anyone know where on the net i can find stuff like this? ive been searching for about an hour now to no avail:(

mathew
bearing in mind it is in the heartland of a defunct mining area
sdavies
Yeah, I know - on loan to England from Wales myself (actually a Cardiffiffian born and bread). Heh, my point being there is unlikely to be any mining around *any* coastal area like that especially one as low lying as the Docks/Bute area - then again, who knows with the crazy Welsh folk... I mean Torchwood is only a stones throw away - wonder if that shows up on any planning docs hehe. Good luck with this amigo, I have no idea - I used to know a town and country planner for South Glamorgan (I guess te county of Cardiff now), but lost contact many years ago arse
