There the best wheel for the sup in my opinion and id love them but om abit unsure of 19's .

im still toying with the idea to up to 19's from my 18's but scared i'll feck them up pulling the car outside the house with me having to mount the pavement .

yes your right....but ive had both 18's and 19's before and to be honest i couldnt notice any difference...it all depends on the tyres i suppose and if its lowered etc etc. personally i think 19's fill the arches better and look better imo....

I'm very interested in having these.

I'm sure i've read on here that 19's cause wheel bearing and suspension wear a fair bit faster than using 17's. How accurate is this? Also how does it affect the handling?

to be honest mate, im not sure...all i know is that ive had 19"'s on mine for 3 years and have had no problems at all. if you are using 19's on a track car then i can see this happening....as i said earlier my handling was fine with 19's. i had tein coilovers and a strutbar too...

Out of sheer curiosity - what is so special about UK specification calipers/(rotors?) that make alloy rim choice so tricky? I only ask as I am a tad worried as my ACE F1 18"s need to clear some GReddy 6 pots with 355mm rotors.... I was told they "should" be ok for this. I see so many posts about the UK spec brakes being hard to accomodate... how big are they? Are the calipers just insanely big or something?

No they're not all that big compared to aftermarket brakes (KAD, Endless, Brembo, GReddy, etc). It's just that that most j-spec Supras come with the smaller brakes (2 pot front, 1 pot rear). The upgrade from j-spec brakes to UK spec ones is a popular upgrade as the UK spec brakes are remarkably good, better than almost any other car has as stock. This is the reason why you will notice so many posts asking whether this or that wheel will fit over UK spec brakes - because the owner wants to upgrade to UK spec brakes after he already has the wheels he likes.

Also, upgrading to UK spec brakes is not usually classed as a modification by insurance companies, seeing as the larger spec brakes could have been fitted as (maybe as an optional extra) from new.
