1998 RZ-S Twin Turbo VVT-i (facelift) RSP Manual

Well I've decided to sell, as I'm going to be in Japan for another year or two and can't justify having two cars, one of which I never use.

I have an R34 here which I plan to modify and bring back as a personal import too, so could do with freeing up some cash.

The car is currently in professional dehumidified storage and as I'm only back in the UK for a week over Christmas (21st -28th Dec) there's only a small window to sell. Plan is to take the car out of storage on the 22nd and let people view then.

If it doesn't sell, I'll just put her back in. Please only contact me if you're serious, I only have a few days and don't have

time for tyre kickers or test pilots.

I know, the rear tyre is a little deflated in this pic.

Some history:

The car was bought from the Japanese import center in 2000. When I bought the car it was completely standard and had 12000miles on the clock.

It had one previous owner, whom was forced to sell as he was unable to keep up the finance payments.

I have a full and complete service history, including all receipts, MOT's and service book stamps.

The initial modifications were carried out by Tuning Japanese in 2000. I was unhappy with their work so I took the car to Chris Wilson and he has

serviced and modified the car to date. I also perform an intermediate oil and filter change myself every 3000miles.

As I often work abroad the car has spent some time in storage, specifically from April 2002 - April 2003, and April 2006 - present.

The car is started once a month, fluids allowed to get up to working temperature, tyres kept at correct pressure, battery level maintained etc.

No expense has been spared with either maintenance or modifications to ensure everything works perfectly. I don't believe in short cuts.

I was planning to have Chris Wilson build an engine and fit a single turbo on one of Arnouts cast manifolds, setup on a Motec M800. After much planning my situation, and more importantly my location have now changed, so she has to go. She's crying out for a properly installed single...

I know the Veilside kit is widely regarded as no longer fashionable, but it's never bothered me, it looks great in RSP. I debated for months before having the kit fitted as I'd seen so many Supra's that looked just plain horrible with it on. The kit is getting a bit old now though, and the front bumper has had some knocks and stone chips. Just something you have to learn to live with. I still have the original front bumper though, and I'll give this away with the car if anyone wants it. I was planning to have the kit removed anyway as I felt it was time for a change, and really started to like the look of the stock bodywork again.

Some points to note:

The car isn't fitted with a front number plate. I have a legal sized plate which I keep under the seat.

Boost is limited to 1.2bar using one of Chris Wilsons restrictor rings.

The tyres are all in good condition, think they're Bridgestone S03's all round, can't remember.

The wheels are in good condition, but do have some kerb scrapes. A refurb will get them back to mint condition.

The front bumper needs attention, fibreglass isn't stone chip friendly. The TRD strut brace could do with being repainted too.

I don't have a spare wheel. Not much point as it doesn't fit over the brakes. The "get you home can of moose" is in the boot :)

In nearly every Supra advert I see uses the words "rare" or "special" or "limited", and most of the time it's bollocks. All I'm going to say is a MKIV TT VVT-i manual in RSP is not easy to come by. It took me 7 months to get my hands on one and if my asking price is too much, then I'll keep her.

Price: 15,500 GBP ovno (cash only, no p/x)

How much did you have to pay the owner of the house to take the first photo?

That was the B&B I was staying in when I was on contract in Slough, she insisted I park on the grass when I told her I needed a pic for the club calender entry. Nice lady:)

A big part of me really doesn't want to sell, but I could do with the cash to spend at Mines on the Skyline. I'll see what interest I get....

Thanks for all the comments.:)

Won't last long then ;)

Gaz.

That's the truth !

I was supposed to leave the R34 there last week for some "Stage 1" work but I've been ill.

They now offer an RB28 based engine, running their modified GT2530 turbines and with Tomei’s fully forged 2.8 L bottom end, including a full-counter crank
