Chris Wilson
Sounds like the plugs are breaking down under the increased combustion pressures the raised boost produces. What plugs are in it? I recommend and supply a race type NGK plug that usually fixes this and runs a good deal cooler than the stock plug at elevated boost levels too, reducing the chance of detonation, which is fatal. Backfiring through the turbine wheels of the 2 turbos is BAD NEWS and a sure way to break them or reduce their life expectancy, it needs fixing *now*. addi
the plugs were recently changed to twin core platinum plugs .. is this a bad choice ?

I'd have expected the de cat job to have included the fitment of a colder grade plug, or at least the advice to do this mod. Quite what a "twin core" platinum plug is, I don't know.
