Underworld
Right guys, as I explained before my MOTs up mid next month, however I need to replace my rear suspension. Im told its gonna take 4 odd weeks to get this IDEAL suspension in. My question: Am I fine not having an MOT if I dont drive the car, but it stays on the road outside my house? Not too clued up about it lol. I know for not having TAX you need to SORN.

Ric
it should be ok, i think its only if your caught actually driving the car with MOT you get into trouble. Although mot is a sign of roadworthness so some might argue if its not worthy to be on the road it shouldnt be at all?!
Stonkin
As your parking the car on the road i'm not sure where you would stand with that one mate. Also technically if the car doesnt have an MOT, its not insured.

Underworld
Also technically if the car doesnt have an MOT, its not insured. Hmm thats not good lol. Is that only if you are driving it tho?
Stonkin
well if someone else hit it while its parked and you dont have an mot, and therefore not insurance, i'm not sure what would happen. If it got broken into or nicked and you didnt have an MOT, i wouldnt think u would be able to claim either as insurance would be void. Might be a different story if the car could be taken off road and onto a driveway or private property. I might be talking crap mate, but just some thoughts to get you thinking about
