ardasaliah
Just after some advice. I parked my car, with a permit- as I always do in a permit area outside work. Today there was a small film crew filming on the road. I drove pass and parked the car. When I went back to the car I had a ticket- and they were about to tow someone elses car. TOSSERS The council had changed parking rules for the day which meant I was no longer allowed to park the car in the permit area. The only sign they put up was a small sticker on a lamppost. edit......JUST FOUND OUT THAT THE STICKER WAS PUT THERE AFTER I PARKED THE CAR- WITNESS BUY SHOP KEEPERS> How F8cking annoying. I want to dispute this- DO I have a leg to stand on.
Havard
Can you get any pics of the little sticker and the street? Personally if you park there every day I would dispute it. Unless they put big signs everywhere that you can't miss then it is unreasonable to expect you to notice on a one off day. Although legally, anything is possible these days. H. JohnA
Yes you do, I know of a friend who recently disputed and got his ticket cancelled by the council. Similar case, they had suspended the parking rights and he made the case that he had not been informed.
hogmaw
Yes you do have a case in that the council has to put a notice up of their intention to suspend the bay BEFORE the day that they actually do it
