penguin
anyhow guys - we're all human, and we've all got our own agenda's/views/opinions - call them what you will... as they say in that song by that fit bird "where is the love"

Gamer
But IMI, most of the posts you highlighted in post 18 were not made by one person with a chip on their shoulder. We are not all children here, it is fine to post current events and all but your current events all follow a theme that most people might misinterpret. imi
I take offence to the infamous "post 18" you refer to - many of the posts highlighted were posted by me with the intention of starting interesting, adult discussion on the forum, none were posted with the intention of causing racial conflict. In my world it's possible for adults with conflicting opinions to discuss them without resorting to abuse. Not sure about your intention....(all the threads were NOT yours) enciting racial tension perhaps...? IMO selection of the thread titles could be better. Look at the comment on those threads, fairly directed in one direction on the whole - obviously these are news articles that you are quoting so this is what the media is pushing out and not you. I simply want to highlight that the extremist views of certain people are not shared by us all which is why i try to post and put things in perspective. I have noticed that an environment is being created where its quite acceptable to be anti-muslim / anti-islam / racist posts / threads on here and that is not good. Whats hilarious is that its all twisted back towards me to call me a racist.....if not liking Mr Malarkey is racist then I am one. Nutjob eats swan - Excuse: Hungry / Muslim Why the need to have muslim in the title?? You have to love Americans don't you? Amazing how this one goes amiss. Burqa ban Another muslim bashing thread Jack Straw - Sensible Move? same as above Israel vx Lebanon same as above BA Announcement same as above Security Threat same as above Islamic reactions same as above Iran and nuclear power same as above Taliban Dating same as above Is the reaction to the 'cartoons' a reasonable response. same as above. Matt H
P.s i think most people are anti religion, not racist, thats a huge differance in my opinion that most people dont consider. It does my head in that one group can say yes god exists and this and that is ok not o.k, but someone that thinks religion is a load of rubbish cant say i think you're delerious and what you're saying is wrong. tbourner
TB - fair enough, perhaps you have changed your tune, the original post that I have quoted below is racist and offensive. I wouldn't say I've changed my tune, I'm just in a different key! If that post offended you then I appologise it's the last thing I want (as I've said a few pages back). I haven't changed my tune on wanting Britain back though. But a couple of questions. What is this 'culture' that you are trying so desperately hard to keep? When was this Britain that you are talking about like you wanted it to be, when did it change? It started before I was born, the rules set out by our government and the EU that allow human rights nonsense (although that's a different matter really). I'm not sure what I'd want from Britain and how far back it should go, but recent news stories of people who live here saying they hate the Queen - WTF is that!! I never said that Anti-relgion and being racist is the same...obviosuly they are completely different. You are entitled to your own opinion (beliefs) whatever that is and so am I. However if someone choses to believe in a religion, then I would appreciate it if people would refrain from being dis-respectful. I am not trying to impose my beliefs on you, all I am saying is that stop being disrespectful. That is all that I am saying. BTW: this post isnt directly towards you, this is just in general. Well for a race related post you talk about muslim / islam quite a lot instead of asian etc. I have nothing against people practicing religion, but what does anoy me is the extreme aspects of religion, woman being supressed (in full black clothing) having to be in different rooms at parties being treated as second class citizens, its wrong and people like the suffragettes and Emily Pankhurst must be turning in their graves at what we are allowing. Our own beliefs and “religion” if you will is being compromised.

Our own beliefs and “religion” if you will is being compromised. You seem to be talking about some kind of British way of life. Which is why I don't believe a multi-racial / multi-cultural society will work very well - it's literally impossible to cater for everyone as the opinions clash. Other societies are free to live how they choose, there is no need for us to impose our beliefs / way of life on them. Don't tar us all with the same brush....
