but when I'm talking to Muslim person I have serious doubt if this person is honest with me, I have a feeling they are usually false or hiding something

I think you'l find 'I promise not to come in your mouth' is a ploy used by people from all religions.

This thread is proving to be quite an eye opener. :rolleyes:

Tell this to families of those who died in London, Madrid, NY. Look at reaction of crowd and "bright muslim leaders" on Mahometh cartoons or pope speech. Most of those guys like democracy if it is to protect their stupid moves, but if it is against them then big NO NO and burning flags. I'm not blind - you can say i'm not tolerant, it is ok, I would rather to be not tolerant and do not trust too much then being sorry. You see my friend, I think that Muslim "leaders" are on stage Christians was in 10-14 century - problem is that they have media and technology to spread their ideas, also, what is most scary, access to modern war (weapon) technology. And they are trigger happy - most of Middle East leaders are anyway.

@Penguin

Nah I recognise difference between skin colour and religion belief.

@At topic start

I thought that those guys rammed police vehicle, that's why police started to shoot. Anyway I belive we all should have access to weapon of some kind, because right now we can be sued if we hit thief or bandit too strong and they do not give s**t about weapon licence - if they want weapon, they just buy one on black market and then use it.

I think tihs thread has long since deviated off on its own tangent - but these sort of highly volatile *discussions* normally do. The shooting of those guys and the resulting fatality sounded terrible, and quite possibly an atrocity that shouldn't go unpunished. A race inspired shooting? possible - but doubtful, did Imi intend for us to read it that way? I don't know - possible, but I don;t get offended by it - intrigued, but not offended. References to the unfotunate Brazilian chaps shooting - very very regretful - sad, but an unfortunate by product of the terrorist acts (not entirely related to the original story but I see where the thread was going), if the guys on 7/7 hadn't aggravated and hightened paranoia of the security forces (paranoia not unfounded in my mind) and demonstrated the utter disrespect for human life that these higly motivated yet narrow minded people have - he would have still been alive to this day, the security forces fault? NO, the w*nkers with the bombs - YES! - the families they came from - NO! Guys we all have our opinions, and as long as we don't resort to violence and word play is all we have here - then there is still hope for the human race ;)

Life is too short to hate, I find it too hard to hold a grudge for more than about 1-2 hours... it is sadly in human nature to distrust and not like your neighbours - territorial thing, very basal. We fear things we either can't, don't or won't understand. You could write (and it has been done) huge dissertations on this area of sociology and the human psyche, it is a complex minefield - religion, race, sectarianism - it is the grimy underbelly that our ancestors and us have had to mature through and we are still blindly finding our way and concepts a lot of people can't or won't let go of at this point in our socialogical evolution.

We all can feel those extremist views well up in ourselves - I remember the feelings of anger welling up within me when I saw the twin towers fall - the sheer horror... you can't help yourself.. NEED someone to hate, someone to take revenge on... then the horrible footage that the media heartlessly showed of people in non descript middle eastern areas (who knows where they didn't seem to elaborate, and who knows if the translations were correct) - screaming praises that the "head of the snake" had been attacked... err - nice guys - maybe that footage was out of context?, at a time when people are looking for meaning in such atrocities, and needing someone to hate and lash out at - hey presto, what is dumped straight in our laps? a nice convenient punch bag... (I know the people if they were cheering at the atrocities should be ashamed of themselves in our views but who knows what shit they have been told?). So much angst built up in our society made this a key pivotal HUUUUGE platform for people on all sides to abuse and manipulate - strong images, frightening images. We (the people that have the wonderful liberty of discussing such things openly on a public forum), I would hope can consider ourselves the "informed" *intelligent* ones (I hope - or at least striving to get there), and should be able to look past all that and see - that as always, the minority extreme, simple yet motivated idiots can take a few words as "gospel" and do extraordinary - and atrocious unbelievable things. We shouldn't let the actions of such weak minded strong willed idiots RUIN what could potentially (and hopefully will) be a unique multi cultured loosely integrated society that can benefit ALL. We need people to come together and... for f*cks sake - understand COMPROMISE! You cannot please everyone - so we all bend a little. A little should be ok for everyone to cope with.

Sadly, Man as a species - can possibly be likened to dog - that although has been domesticated and bread to be mild mannered and is normally treated as our best friend, protector, comforter - is only a few generations from WOLF.... We are a young species fighting our primal instincts it would seem :) A society with uneven evolution of moral and intellectual enlightenment.

Blimey, this beer is good!

Guest Nicholas
I'm from Poland :)

I'm suprised you don't live in London ;)

Twice this week I have been to McD's and had my order screwed up by a polish person and they always say "yes boss" :( infact today they told me McD's don't do a vanilla milkshake so I choose strawberry instead and he gave me a vanilla one...

Is anyone else drinking tonight?

Driving buses - double deckers usually.

Also repairing computers, building new computers etc.

To prevent next question: I have Master degree in economy and marketing, only reason I'm driving buses is that it gives me nice, stable income and possibility to expand my english language skills to get onto career ladder in other industry than public transport :D
