Guest laz
hi all...i got a n/a supra and my mate handed me a K&N filter the other day and the neck size is 100mm.....so i was thinking!! what if i re piped the intake with 100mm tube all the way to the throttle body this has got to give less restriction than the stock air box with its 80 mm tube.....i know how people feel about cone filters round here , but i think this has got to work better!! what do you all think laz 94 n/a blue ss exhaust 18" splitrims
Nic
Stick with the stock airbox, it is not restrictive, has 2 cool air feeds and has bigger/better filtration. The only thing you'll gain by fitting an induction kit is noise.
Alex
Also, the MAF would still be 80mm and unless you want to run an aftermarket ECU and new 100mm MAF it's not going to work.

Chris Wilson
If you want to ruin the pulse tuned length and kill performance, do it. If you want it to work properly leave all the induction alone.
Guest laz
ok thanks.... would any body be able to recomend where i can get a de-cat pipe (the first one from engine) where its not gonna cost a fortune, £150 for an 18" bit of tube is a bit crazy laz
Chris Wilson
It's not just an 18 inch bit of tube, it's a jig made dual downpipe, with stainless flexi section made of dual concentric pipes, two ground flanges, with fish tailed swaged joints.... 150 is cheap, go try and make one They are a tricky bugger to fabricate.
