Two black eyes

Pretty straight forward chaps. Took about 3 hours (once I'd got the lights off the car, but that's another story:innocent: )

Lights would'nt fit in the oven, so I tried a Matty H patented cardboard box oven, but was a bit worried, so I just heated up the lights directly with a heat gun. (just where the sealant is though)

Once the lights were apart, I masked off the rings around the 2 outer lights, and rubbed the chrome down with some scotch cloth (a bit like fine wire wool).

Gave it 3 or 4 coats of standard grey primer, then 3 coats of rover metallic charcoal, as I was trying to match up the colour with the rears.

Once it was all dry, just fiddled about getting them back together. Heated the sealant up again with the heat gun while squeezing the lights back together, and that was pretty much it.

I did take out all the bulbs before I started, but I need'nt have bothered.

Cheers

I've seen a facelift RSB Supra, and that looks good.

I reckon it would look OK mate. Yours is a UK is'nt it? I presume the 'headlights coming apart bit' with the heat gun is the same process for glass headlights...

You could try a bit of photoshopping

Yeah no worries dude. You coming to next Mascrat Manor meet? If you've not done it by then, you can see them there.

Cheers

I reckon so :) Should have my car by then. As soon as I get it back I'm going to give it a big hug and kiss.
