Guest sunnyG83
It seems the force is strong in you DB as thats exactly what i was thinking was wrong with the fridge/freezer and i had to do a specialist module at Curry's to know this. dangerous brain
If its one of them there frost free fridge freezers that blows that there cold air everywhere to cool the fridge it may actually be as simple as the cooling unit has succumbed to the environment and frozen up. I had that on a samsung one I had years ago. Try a complete defrost on it before you call anyone out.
Kip
Is it an integral part of the kitchen? if so, and this may seem stupid but, make sure you have circulation holes top and bottom of the woodwork it allows the cool air to cool the motor and bits and the warm air to escape thus allowing the fridge to perform better - just a thought. Pete
"Have you turned it off and on again?" Seriously though - a complete defrost of the whole system might help. Did you ever transport it layed down? If you did and didn't leave it upright for over 48 hours after you may have damaged it.
Guest gzaerojon
"Have you turned it on and off again?" you mean off and on again
JustGav
you mean off and on again It wouldn't get warm in the top if it was off.... wouldn't get cold either, but that is irrelevant *grin*
blitz supra
Its no good asking me!! I had enough trouble working out how to turn on the washing machine and dryer when the other half went away for a few days to the inlaws in Spain... Had to ask next door how to turn the dryer on... :innocent:
Charlotte
I think I'm fairly capable of working out how to use the fridge. Pete, it's only ever been in this flat so no. I think maybe I'll try and do a defrost and go from there, is there a certain amount of time you have to leave it after defrosting before turning it back on? Pete
is there a certain amount of time you have to leave it after defrosting before turning it back on? Until it's not got any of that cold white stuff on/in/around it and there's a large puddle?
Charlotte
I meant do you have to let it settle or something?

Thorin
I'd say it's broken.
Pete
I meant do you have to let it settle or something? You could give it a hot water bottle, scarf and stroke it, but I doubt it'd help much. Do I look like a fridge expert? Eh!? Eh!? Well do I?
Charlotte
Do I look like a fridge expert? Eh!? Eh!? Well do I? Do you really want me to answer that? Thanks for your help Pete.
dangerous brain
Place pans of recently boiled water inside it to speed up the process and leave it basically til it stops dripping water out. Don't put irons or hairdryers in there (I've heard of it happening). Is it a frost free jobber then?
Jake
Have you tried taking out the EFI #1 fuse for 30 secs?
