JustGav
Don't know, the weather looks too crap to venture outside, roads look saturated, and the garden looks like a water feature...
Ewen
Pretty wet down Wimborne way, but non of the high winds that were forecast.
Class One
Officially, in the south east there are still water restrictions. Apparently in places like Sussex and Surrey, even if it rains constantly for the next 3 months, water levels still won't be at acceptable levels. Tricky-Ricky
Piss take aint it... im sick of washing the cars with a bucket.. i use twice the water anyhow. Wouldn't mind if the water authority fixed all the fecking leaks:rolleyes: Southern Water admitted they made a massive cock up locally which involved the loss of billions of gallons! and i still have to wash my car with a bucket and use more than twice as much water! silvershark44
Yes there is indeed low water levels in the water table at the moment. It wont refill over night you know. The reason why the south east has it worst is because the water companies down there seem to have the worst anount of leakage (water escaping back into the ground from pipes etc continuously). In the summer I worked at anglian water in their telemetry department so got to monitor flows etc. There is actually quite a lot to it, but basically as long as we dont have another dry winter like last year, we will be fine. But if we do have a dry winter again with lower than average rainfall, then expect more hosepipe bans etc in the short term.

I'll stop using a hose when they fix the leaks. Until then, they can stick their drought restrictions where the sun don't shine. I saw a program on this about 6 months ago. All the water boards have targets for fixing their leaks. Thames water is the only one who has failed to meet their targets every single year. bungy
I won't abide by the restrictions as long as garden centres have no limitations for watering weeds they sell to oxygen thieving pensioners.
