Any reason why its got to be a TRD one?

I live in Viriginia here in the states and the laws are very strict when it comes to modifying your vehicle. Exhaust tickets are the worst around where I live and if I can get the TRD Exhaust, then I can say that the Supra came from the factory this way, "TRD Special Edition Supra". Plus I like the look of the GEN 1 over the GEN 2 exhaust also.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome and compliments.

i'd get someone to make you a bespoke one and then put a plate on it with a TRD and toyota logo........i'm pretty sure no one on here knows what a TRD GEN 1 exhaust looks like and we're enthusiasts........John Doe the (anal) exhaust inspector won't have a clue will he?

btw as the others have said lovely car........

Thank you for the compliment and I have thought about taking that route. The only problem is that I am very picky when it comes to anything for the Supra. She is truly my dream car and it took me a very long time to find her. Hopefully I will find what I want :)

He needs one manufactured by Toyota (TRD) so he can say it left the factory like that. :)

That is exactly what I am trying to do. Thanks for the ideas on how to get one but this exhaust has been discontinued for some time now. There are several shops here in the states that sell TRD merchandise and they cannot even get the exhause anymore. I also contacted a company over seas that only sells TRD merchandise and they told me the same story. I have talked to several members on supraforums.com that have the exhaust but are not willing to sell it because they are that happy with it. I am not giving up on the search for the TRD 1st GEN Exhaust and if anyone comes across someone selling one, please let me know. Thanks!
