DannyW
Yes, you probably did. It's impressive yes but i can't help it if i find it boring can i? I prefer this kind of thing Particularly from around the 2 minute point onwards. But you probably don't like it, as you seem to like to disagree. Talented guy too - wish he could string a tune though In the car world we would associate him to a BMW driver.....bloody annoying, show-off, always tailgating..... Tannhauser
But you probably don't like it, as you seem to like to disagree. I disagree when I see something that I think is so mistaken, it's hard not to. It's nothing personal. I actually do like Steve Vai's stuff (e.g. 'For the Love of God') in small doses and he's at the top of the rock guitar food chain, for sure. Noel Gallagher struck a chord, so to speak, with a back-to-basics pub-rock approach. He has some good hooks in his songs. But honestly, he really is very limited as a guitarist. If you look at the chord structures in Oasis songs, you can see he has a tiny musical vocabulary, too. I can't see that he's a talented musician by any stretch of the imagination. I think we agree that he is a twat, however.
DannyW
I always thought he was poo until i saw him play live (on TV not in person) and saw him go off on one at the end of a song, can't remember which one. I honestly thought to myself "I wish i could do that " Do you play? ive been trying to teach myself for about a year without much success, picking bits up here and there though. Tannhauser
Yes, I've played for many years. I can't get enough of it. I love music theory too. Doesn't mean I'm any good at it, though.
