AntD
Hi can anyone tell me if its possible to encode a folder in Nero7 instead of transferring files one by one to be encoded.I've tried all sorts ,but no luck. Also when I try to burn a disc Nero 7 tells me it can only burn up to 99 files/mp3's.Surely this can be changed can't it?I used to burn over 150 mp3's with Nero6
Jake
Hi can anyone tell me if its possible to encode a folder in Nero7 instead of transferring files one by one to be encoded.I've tried all sorts ,but no luck. More info needed. What type of files are you encoding from and to? CD Audio? MP3? DivX Video? VCD? DVD? Also when I try to burn a disc Nero 7 tells me it can only burn up to 99 files/mp3's.Surely this can be changed can't it?I used to burn over 150 mp3's with Nero6 What type of discs are you using? With DVD-A you can add up to 99 tracks per group. You can have multiple groups on a DVD-A disc though. Audio CDs can only have
AntD
Hi,thanx for replying.I'm trying to encode mp3 to mp3Pro.It lets me do single or a few tracks at a time, but I'm trying to work out if I can encode the whole folder at once instead as there are over 300 tracks in the one folder. I'm using 700mb CD-R discs and never had a problem before. Its just dawned on me now that I had several folders with fewer than 99 tracks in each in the past,duh...guess will have to break down the large folder into smaller ones and try again. Jake
Do you want the finished disc to contain MP3 tracks? Or CD Audio? As I understand it, you can have thousands of mp3 tracks in a single folder because it's just a data cd. Whereas if you're making an audio CD by converting MP3 tracks to CD Audio you will always have the 99 track limit.

JustGav
First thing, why go from mp3 to mp3pro... mp3pro gives more clarity, however since the source has already been down converted to mp3 I wouldn't up convert. It sounds like you are creating an audio CD, they have limitations of 99 tracks... You want to create a standard data cd and then drop the files onto that, just like you would create any normal cd. I'd suggest using folders if your headunit can support folders (most can to be fair)
AntD
Thanx guys,I sussed all that is mentioned in your replies before coming on here again.I have now managed to sort this out by just making a data disc.In Nero6 Startsmart I just used the simple menus to create mp3 discs.Hopefully I won't need to burn any more discs after this one as I'm hoping to get the 80GB Ipod soon .
