RobEvans
Iv just taken the oil cap off my car and found a slight mayo type white cream around the cap, is this the head gasket? and is it an easy job to carry out? cost wise? Thanks in advance
Jake
It's a nightmare job if you have the stock twins. Over £500 minimum. Yours probably hasn't gone though, it's a rare problem on the 2JZ. Do you have any other symptoms?
mr lover
has the car been stood for a while?
Soop Dogg
Or have you been doing alot of short trips? It could just be condensation....
RobEvans
Not realy stood no, I only use it at weekends and the odd night though. The car seems to idle lumpy the last few times Its been started with quite alot of white steam/exhaust fumes to. Also its just had a full service, and there wasnt any white stuff before that I noticed
Matt Harwood
You'll often get white smoke on start up in this weather. Have you checked the water levels too? Give it a good long run, then check again. As Soop Dogg says, it could be condensation.
