Aerotop Dave
Tried a search without success - My windscreen washer pump doesn't seem to be working. I can't hear anything when I pull the stalk back and I put a litre or so of water in there but still nothing (the wipers go across fine though) Is the thing really quiet and I wouldn't be able to hear it anyway? (in which case I'll start checking for blockages, etc) Any fuses I need to check or do I need to get a new pump? Where can I get a new pump? Thanks peeps. Ian C
What you need to do is jack the car up, get the passenger side wheel off, take out the front inner wing liner, and look at the pump itself. Mine stopped working once due to a marginal connection on the pump (I'm beginning to think all the electrical connections on mine have been murdered by the stiff suspension ). You will need an assistant to fire the washer pump in order to see if it works, unless you've got arms like Mr Tickle. -Ian

cashpoint
You don't pull the stalk back there is a button on the end of the stalk that works that washer:D push it in, pulling the stalk just put's the wipers on.

Aerotop Dave
Bah. Don't forget my infamous button thread as well: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18602 And somewhere on here I complained that my front spoiler wasn't working as when I pressed the button nothing happened - I didn't realise you had to have the engine off but the ignition on. CJ
This might be a stipid question, but could someone tell me who the moderators are for the Technical section?

Ian C
Oh dear. Obviously I didn't read the question properly and just waded in with the technical stuff The spoiler thing is un-obvious, that's totally forgivable.
