Guess what was in my sandwich!

Ok so, I may as well start my first pointless thread.

I've just had a sandwich from boots and it contained the following:-

1. A sandwich - yummy

2. A joke

3. A christmas hat!

The joke was:- "What do you get when you cross a snowman and a vampire?" wait for it....Frostbite!

I am sporting the christmas hat as we speak.

I ought to point out they were in a plastic thing, not actually in the sandwich.

Anyhoo...on with the day.

Sorry my heading was rather misleading, it wasn't really a question, more a statement of fact.

I am well aware it's mid-November, but if Boots want to celebrate the birth of Jesus one month early then who am I to stop them. I mean, maybe he was premature.

It was Brie and cranberry, yum yum.

Anyway, has anyone ever found anything unusual in their sandwich?

No - he was much later. March in fact.

"During the later periods of Roman history, sun worship gained in importance and ultimately led to what has been called a 'solar monotheism.' Nearly all the gods of the period were possessed of Solar qualities, and both Christ and Mithra acquired the traits of solar deities. The feast of Sol and Victus (open unconquered Sun) on December 25th was celebrated with great joy, and eventually this date was taken over by the Christians as Christmas, the birthday of Christ."

I'm going to celebrate Christmas praising the sun wearing sunglasses and a pair of trunks....and a snorkle for good measure.
