michael
http://www.racecarsdirect.com/viewlisting.php?view=4111 I might be (very) wrong but I seem to think that these are the mental 1.5L engines that put out over 1000bhp and rev to 11,000rpm. Could be fun in a lightweight Caterham type thing

grahamc
bloody hell - make it fit... I mean if they can fit 5.7 V8s into caterhams, this should be that difficult..

It's the turbo that's the problem, would need relocating if possible.
RobSheffield
It's the turbo that's the problem, would need relocating if possible. It could stick out of the bonnet I mean if EMICS are allowed im sure a MASSIVE turbo will be
grahamc
oh, I see... move it to the top of the engine sticking out of the bonnet... So that it can have all the cold air it wants.
Homer
It's the turbo that's the problem, would need relocating if possible. easy, turn the manifold the other way up
Pete
It probably wouldn't last very long either. I still fancy an S2000 engine in mine.
Pete
Neatest Turbo Westfield I've ever seen was at Donny this year.. that's only a straight 4 cylinder and there's barely enough room. The exhaust was just a stubby pipe straight out of the turbo. 380bhp / 360 ft/lb 2.1 Zetec Interestingly he was selling the engine, but not the car! Perhaps not too drivable then. I have always thought of that as being the ultimate... The other one that I have seen is rotus 7... Rotary engined 7s... wicked machines, look quite scary! Wez
It would need to run to 11,000rpm for a 1.5ltr to spin that turbo
Cable
It probably wouldn't last very long either. I still fancy an S2000 engine in mine. I always thought an tweaked S2000 engine in one of those would be nice.
