michael
WTF is an emo? They are usually easy to spot - cloned, black-clad, youths with hair like this: http://www.gavoweb.com/hit_the_back_button_to_mo/images/emo.jpg They don''t do any harm but the sheer volume of them worries me. michael
"Emotional" I believe, they like to cry, cut themselves and are generally miserable. (That's a sweeping generalisation of course, some just like the hair)
Thorin
I quite like Bullet for my Valentine, thought they'd be a bit too soft for you Michael
michael
They are an odd one really, I like the fact that they are technically spot on, do solos etc and I can understand what they are singing, it's my easy listening stuff for when I can't find my Lionel Richie CDs But they do have a cool "heavy" side to them too, I just hope they don't get too commercial and go all Lost Prophets. RedM
For 'proper' Emo check out bands from the late 80's and early 90's plus loads of later ones. Moss Icon, Indian Summer, Rites of Spring, Constatine Sankathi, I Hate Myself, Current and many more. Much harder, more shouty and less pop than the shite peddled as Emo these days. Pete
Just looked at the music vids on their site. From that small sample it seems very ROAR RARR ARR RRRR OROOORORORORRRO ROAR and typically teenage American style like you'd hear in Dawsons Creek style shows. They are Welsh, the "Roar" is just from pronouncing all those long place names.

michael
I like both albums, they just look far too 'styled' these days.
