Phil Wall
Hi Guys, Does anyone know how critical the A- B settings are on a new belt. I have just fitted and new one and the pointer falls about 0.5 mm. outside the B range. Should I take it off and put the old one on,or is this ok? The manual says wrong belt if outside B marks. Guest Ash
Is this a Toyota sourced belt? If so, funny it should be outside the marks. I guess you are sure it *is* fitted properly? Hmm, if it *is* a Toyota belt then I'd certainly take it back to them. To my mind those limits are set for good reason and I would want the tensioner about mid-way (as per normal). Phil Wall
No the belt was sourced by Leon. It is just out side the right hand mark inthe B range. Leon said the belt was a slightly different length, hence the slight change in the pointer position.
