paul_y3k
ok so my new kit arrived today. bulb size 9005 which fit nicely. but lo and behold after plugging it all in, nothing works soo can you just check to see i'm not doing anything wrong here folks .... i'm connecting A to C B to D E to F and F to the original brown bit that blugs into the bulb. I tried both ballasts / bulbs but get nothing, not eever a fuse pop or a worrying burning smell. Ive tried the orriginal bulb again and thats fine. SupraStar 3000
have you connected the HID to the original harness to get the on/off signal. Also, you most remove the bulp from the redundant light on the opposite side. I didn't do this and it didn't work. Second I removed the old bulb BINGO! The HIDS worked
paul_y3k
the hid was connected via the extenion lead to the brown original harness. i din't remove the bulb on the passenger light as i was working on the drivers one .... I'll give that a go now then ....

SupraStar 3000
Its 'E' which you need to connect to the car. I cut off 'F' and 'G' as I didn't use them
SupraStar 3000
Another idea. Are you sure your cars battery is fully charged. If the HIDs don't get a good 12v they won't come on.

Dragonlady
Are your fogs plug the same as the side lights plug (both go into a 3 pin socket)?
SupraStar 3000
darn it! Fuse? Did you put a fuse in the holder and is it ok?
Ric
try turning the power plug on the ballast the other way round. i really dont see how this is sooooo hard to warrent all the threads lately. The bulb parts A+B goto C+D and the original plug in your car goes to the ballast E I never used the f/g cable.

Paul
Not that mine are this make but I got a set from Nic last year and struggled to get them to light up. I finally realised they were wired the wrong way round after the ballast. Fairly easy on my set to get some thin nose pliers and remove the pins and simply swap them over in the small connector plug. As you say this has a lug to prevent you just turning in over and pushing together. Hope it's a simple as mine were to sort. Paul
