Guest 2 slow 2 low !
Car feels sort of detatched from the road occasionally !!! The rear of the car seem to move on the road sometimes, worse at motorway speed It's kind of a similar effect to a snaking when towing a large trailer, gets a bit of momemtum and doesnt settle back into line straight away. I havent had tracking done for a good while but wouldnt have thought it would have such an effect Any1 had similar problem? This is on a BMW 325 Coupe e36
Ian R
Nope just inapporative indicators is the common fault

absz
sounds like rear trailing arm bushes, quite commom on bmw's:)
Guest 2 slow 2 low !
its had new trailing arm bushes, next step, rear top mounts an shocks see what that does
Homer
Shocks shouldn't cause the rear end to snake, really sounds like a major rear bush problem. Had the same problem on my 328i e36 and ended up with the rear trailing arm bushes being replaced.
Marty
It basically tries to lob the back end about if you go over a grid or something, to the point where its actually kinda dangerous. The Bushes have just been changed. shocks on the rear are leaking slightly but that wont be causing the problem. Any other ideas?
Homer
Its not had a smack on the rear end at all? Especially hit a curb hard? They don't take kerb shunts very well at all and can easily bend an arm (same as the Supra). That'd certainly cause major instability
absz
i'll get the bushes checked again if it was me, as the trailing arm bushes if not fully pressed into there housing while fitting can come loose.
